Sorry I haven't posted in forever, I've been extremely sick and still am but I'm fulfilling my duties...so let's begin...

i figured it was time to wipe the slate clean and get a little mini baby site to represent us while we get some new tunage done. so in case you don't know heres the catch-all lowdown on the HGB in the LBC.

* WE'RE WRITING / RECORDING for the next few months. i have a recording space at my house and im just trying all sorts of stuff out. gettin' sounds and melodies down and working on capturing the sexy. check the photojournal soon for photo blog updates and studio fun.

* WE'VE GOT A FEW SHOWS on the books in the next 4 or 5 months. mostly at colleges. and one high school GRAD BASH! should be lots of fun and a good way for us to stretch our fingers every now and again. and a good opportunity for you to meet our rad buddy travis who's playing bass at these shows. will he stick around? Blog. Holiday Soiree.

sup dogger, im typin up a little bunk journal (from my bunk, on our bus, in the uk, on earth). we just played a SHREDDING game of age of empire (the war cheifs expansion pack) against the say anything guys (which we have been doing ALOT on this tour). well not against, it was mixed teams based on skill and xp points and civilization level. but of course right at the critical moment of conquest, the power went out, taking down our rad LAN and freezing the game. for the record: me alex marc and jeff TOTALLY had the other dudes. our troops had completely penetrated their base, taken down most of their assets and had little opposition. i mean it wasn't over. but still.

wait... that didn't happen... what i meant to say was we just hit it hard with some SHREDDING babes (with huge tits) with the say anything guys (which we have been doing ALOT on this tour). it was a mixed orgy based mostly on penis size, endurance, and general sex appeal. but of course right at the critical moment of climax some burly "chavs" rolled in and took down my rad boner. for the record: me alex marc and jeff TOTALLY were satisfying these hot babes. our penises had TOTALLY penetrated their vaginas, taken down most of their inhibitions and they had stopped crying rape a long while back. i mean, it wasn't over (i was FAR from done)... but still. true story. we're not losers.

so whats blowing my mind is that we only have 2 more uk shows with say anything (who we've gotten pretty close with over the last TWO MONTHSSS) and then one more on our own in ireland, and then we're going home. for longer than we have in the last 3 years. thats it. its just crazy because home life is so totally different than being on "the roooaaaad" everyday, living in a vehicle. i've gotten so used to waking up and having to walk somewhere cold to brush my teeth. at home i can go right from my bed to the bathroom. ALL INDOORS! its gonna be a wild party of convenience! but im gonna be too mega ultra busy too brush my teeth ever cause i'll be spending all my days in the garage like real men do. cause i turned my garage into a studio and im gonna nerd out in there and make some fresh new tunes for a few months and then its gonna be an all new hellogoodbye out on the scene. havin orgies. playin computer games.

so yah, its like a new chapter in our relationship is about to open up and no one quite knows where the story is going but we all have the feeling its going to be sexy. because the story is in a dirty magazine. but we only bought it for the articles. oh, but for a little something familiar, we're playing a quick lil' show at chain reaction in anaheim, ca like a little holiday party and to kick it old school. its a pretty small little place, so if you live around where we live, get some TIX. or give some TIX as a gift. cause its gonna be FESTIVE!!!

post-script: i feel like i should thank everyone who has taken some sort of interest in our goings ons, came out to some shows, bought a cd, looked at our website, you know whatev's. its been so cool the way things have gone for us and we're so lucky to have done the things we've done, and to have had the opportunity to do the things we kinda didn't wanna do so we passed on. if things are half as cool for us from here on out as they've been i will be majorly stoked. i will have major stokens. RAD!

for the last time for a while. afterwards we're gonna go home and unwind a little bit and play with roland space echos and hopefully make some songs that are more than just self-indulgent space echo delay ambient trance. it makes for a real good vibe, it being our last tour in the UK for a while, (we just finished up our last tour in the US for a while) cause each night you know its the last time you're going to be in the that city for a good little while so you're inclined to enjoy it. breath in that thick kansas air and appreciate the inexplicably homophobic stares you receive at the local taco bell. and reallllly savor that dry tortilla on your grilled stuft burrito (no meat, no cheese, no baja sauce [...more stares]). plus it gives you that navy sailor-esque charm, its your last night in town before you ship off and you're lookin for love in all the wrong places and finding it. rawr. really its like a sleazy romantic novel. but with more cinnamon twists and mountain dew.

so if you wanna send us off with joy in our hearts, come see a showwww and clap and dance and sing and don't throw things except devilish grins. some of the gigs sold out already so be swift, little one!

unless i already told you (er actually... even if i already told you), we're making our shows on the 30th (in NYC) and 31st (in allentown PA) special halloween soirees, so basically come in costume (if you don't... i dunno, you might get egged) and trick or treat at our merch table (and it's not gonna be one of those BS bowls set out on the porch with a sign thats like "please take some" because the first kid always unloads the whole thing into his plastic pumpkin tote.

also, i know the holidays are still a bit away but im planning ahead and my birthdays coming up so it got me thinking a little bit, plus im a big design fag that reads interior design blogs everyday and looks at cleverly designed dishracks trying to find the perfect ottoman... but if any of you are looking to get a friend a gift the curiosity shoppe has some of the coolest little trinkets and items. like, oh hello incredible book-bookshelf that is completely, depressingly sold out. im already way into my mini woodgrain wallet i got from there. i guess most of you still have bedrooms and not houses (i say this based only on the fact that i've been in so many of them. zing! ;););) RAWR!), but you could still decorate them super high endy and be all snobby to your parents for not knowing what an eames occasional chair is. oh wait, maybe i should plug hellogoodbye merchandise instead of other things that don't have anything to do with me, or you probably... uh.

sometimes bands try to get all their myspace friends to make their default picture like their record cover or something as a thinly veiled marketing plan. and i was like, whoa. what a good idea. but i had to figure out something to promote, you know? something that could make me loads of cash. and i thought puppies. duh. get a picture with your doggie and make it your default and post up your email address and i'll top the cute ones. or the ones that are so old and silly with saggy old faces and droopy old lips that theyre cute even though they probably smell. yayyy! we'll be like a cult!!!
